In 2020 Smith Sawmill Service celebrates 30 years of serving the wood industry. As a 19-year-old young man, Paul Smith was sharpening saw blades and learning his skill of the sawmill service business throughout Texas. He had a vision of how to help sawmill companies, and in 1990, Paul and his wife Debra started Smith Sawmill Service. Through the years they have grown the business with their son, Michael Smith, manager Dustin Norris and 70 faithful and knowledgeable employees.

Smith Sawmill Services provides services and products that are designed around the ever-changing sawmills, chip mills, paper mills, and pallet manufactures. They offer products to their customers from the U.S.A. and all over the world, design cutting tools, and have received 5 patents in the sawmill business. The most recent patent received is Radial Xtreme, which is a saw design that allows faster speeds, longer run times, reduces the kerf of the saws, therefore, giving your business a higher yield!

Smith Sawmill Service has 3 locations in Texas and Louisiana and North Carolina with sale and delivery service throughout the south. They are equipped with the right machinery to supply sawmills with what is necessary to meet tomorrows’ needs. Smith Sawmill Service offers complete cutting tool solutions to include a variety of circle saws, such as guided carbide and stellite teeth, trim saws, and edger saws. Additionally, they sell narrow band saws, chipper knives, veneer knives, and specialty knives. Their services include repair and sharpen circle saws of all sizes. The saws are calibrated and diagnosed for repair, the data is recorded and retained on each individual saw.
